Greece on Fire

Description

Greece is experiencing more intense wildfires, floods and heatwaves, particularly in vulnerable regions such as Attica. In order to improve preparedness, the Hotspot Explorer tool, developed in the IMPETUS project, uses a combination of satellite data and local socioeconomic information to map areas at the highest climate risk. This tool enables decision-makers to take action before disaster strikes and supports adaptation efforts in the areas that need it most.

The IMPETUS project is running till the end of 2025.
